I set up Elsham Education Consultancy after 30 years working in primary and secondary independent schools across the UK and Australia.

Having sat in the Headteacher’s chair myself, I know how much independent school leaders are expected to hold at once and how little dedicated, experienced support is available to help carry that load.

My career has taken me through state, independent and Montessori school settings, giving me a broad view of what strong leadership and good practice look like in different contexts. Along the way I have held the following roles:
