Professional Development
Professional development gives staff the skills and confidence to implement practical, whole-staff approaches that work in the classroom, not just on paper. I support schools by delivering targeted training and coaching so teams can sustain clear expectations, reduce disruptions and focus on teaching and learning. The result: calmer classrooms, more resilient staff and improved outcomes for pupils.
What is included:
Full Day/Half Day or Twilight INSET on topics such as; behaviour management and classroom culture, dealing with challenging parents and having difficult conversations

Policy and Compliance
Independent schools carry a significant compliance burden and it is easy for gaps to go unnoticed until an inspection. I bring the perspective of someone who has personally held school roles in this area, so my reviews focus on what actually matters to regulators.

Staff Appraisal/Professional Review
Appraisal only adds value when it is more than a form-filling exercise. I bring a leader's eye to the process, having designed and run appraisal processes. I help schools build a review process that genuinely supports teacher development, links meaningfully to CPD, and stands up to scrutiny at inspection.
What is included:
Review of your current appraisal policy and documentation against best practice
Design or refresh of an appraisal framework, including objective-setting templates and review paperwork
Training for appraisers on writing objectives, gathering evidence and holding effective review conversations
One-to-one support for individual staff appraisal or capability conversations
Alignment of appraisal outcomes with your CPD and INSET programme
Support preparing appraisal evidence for inspection
ECT Support
Early Career Teachers do their best work when they feel genuinely supported, not just monitored. My ECT programmes are grounded in current requirements and shaped by real experience supporting new teachers in their first years.

Thriving in Your Early Career - half day Professional Development or a Twilight Session

Inspection Readiness
I have led a full school inspection from the Headteacher's chair, so know exactly what inspectors are looking for and where schools typically leave themselves exposed. My preparation work is practical and evidence based, designed to leave your team confident rather than overwhelmed.
What is included:
A full mock inspection, mapped against the statutory framework underpinning ISI inspections
Compliance health check across all eight ISSR Parts, with a clear findings report and action plan
Safeguarding and SCR audit as part of, or alongside, inspection preparation
Support gathering, organising, and presenting evidence for inspectors
Leadership Mentoring
Sometimes a leadership team needs an experienced, independent person to call upon. I offer one-to-one mentoring for middle leaders, Deputy Heads and new Headteachers.
